Ex-prosecutor explains what would keep him up at night if he were charging Trump

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Mueller prosecutor Andrew Weissmann on Thursday said that, despite the strong case special counsel Jack Smith has built against Donald Trump, he’s concerned a rogue juror could blow up the proceedings.
And Weissmann said he is especially concerned because high-profile cases such as the one against the former president tend to be magnets for such wayward jurors.
“If you were the one prosecuting this case, what's the one thing that would keep you up at night?" co-host Dan Pfeiffer asked Weissman.
“Jury nullification,” Weissmann replied.
“What I have experienced is the problem in a high-profile case of jurors who want to get on the jury and who are less than candid, which is a nice way of saying ‘lie,’" Weissmann said.
“Usually, most jurors don't want to be on a jury, but in high-profile matters, you have that problem of somebody really trying to sneak on who is not intending to adhere to their oath of office as a juror.
And again, remember, it only takes one juror to have a hung jury.
“There has to be unanimous jury either to convict or to acquit, and so if you have 11-1, that's the kind of thing that Donald Trump will claim that is a huge victory, even if it's 11-1 for conviction. So that would be the thing that would worry me the most. The evidence seems incredibly strong. So that's the biggest thing that I would worry about.”
