Steve Schmidt dropped the mic explaining the big difference between Donald Trump and Colin Powell

During an appearance on MSNBC's "The Sunday Show," former Republican campaign strategist Steve Schmidt was asked to comment on Donald Trump's appalling statement following the death of former Secretary of State Colin Powell --then made a point of comparing the differences between the two.
Speaking with host Jonathan Capehart, Schmidt recalled his own reaction while watching TV with his teenage son.
"When we think about Colin Powell's life, it's worth pondering where did such a man as this come from?" Schmidt began. "And the answer is from Jamaica -- his parents were Jamaican immigrants who settled in the South Bronx so when we have debates about immigration, his mother was a seamstress, his father was a clerk. This is a country that can produce greatness from seamstresses and clerks."
"He was a great man and the greatness of the man is not diminished by the country's biggest loser [Donald Trump] and greatest disgrace proving yet again truly that there is no bottom from him," he said of Trump's statement. "That says a lot about Donald Trump -- it says nothing about General Powell."
"And, lastly, you know, I said to my 15-year-old son this week -- and General Powell has been removed, you know, from the day-to-day events of his life -- and I said, 'That guy, you see him? That's the type of man you want to be. That's the type of person you want to be like. He's a great man,' and no one in the next 5,000 years, if human beings make it, is ever going to say that about Donald Trump and I suppose that's the difference between the two of them."
