'No way, no how': Judge denies Trump request to postpone testimony during gag order appeal
December 05, 2023
New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron denied a request to postpone Donald Trump's testimony in his $250 million civil fraud trial.
On Tuesday, attorneys for Trump asked the judge to put Trump's Monday testimony on hold while they appealed a gag order that prevents plaintiffs or defendants from referring to court staff. Trump has previously attacked one of the judge's clerks by name on social media.

"Defense lawyers just asked the court to postpone Donald Trump's testimony scheduled for Monday (Dec. 11). They don't want him to testify while his gag order appeal is being reviewed," Erik Uebelacker reported for Courthouse News.
"Absolutely not, no way, no how," the judge replied.
"It's a non-starter. But you tried."
Attorneys for Trump are appealing the gag order after it was reinstated when they lost a previous appeal.
