President Donald Trump is pausing all military aid to Ukraine following a public spat with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson reported Monday evening.
The pause will remain in effect until Trump "determines the Ukrainians show a commitment to good faith peace negotiations, Tomlinson tweeted, citing a senior Trump administration official.
"This is not permanent termination of aid, it's a pause," the official emphasized to Tomlinson. "The orders are going out right now."
The hiatus is in response to Zelensky's "conduct" over the last week, according to Tomlinson.
Barak Ravid, global affairs correspondent for Axios, confirmed the report on X, citing two White House officials.
"President Trump has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution," a White House official told Ravid.

On Friday, a meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the Oval Office devolved into a heated confrontation. What began as a normal exchange of pleasantries took a dramatic turn in front of stunned reporters and Trump administration officials in the last 10 minutes, with Trump accusing Zelensky of "gambling with World War III" and claiming Ukraine lacked leverage in its war with Russia.
Trump and Vance slammed Zelensky for not showing enough gratitude for U.S. assistance, despite numerous past examples of him doing just that.
The clash escalated into shouting and finger-pointing, and Zelensky was asked to leave the White House prematurely. A planned joint news conference was subsequently canceled, and a mineral deal between the two nations — which was supposed to be signed during the visit — remained unsigned.
