Donald Trump has won the Arizona Republican Party primary, according to projections Tuesday night by CNN, NBC News, the Associated Press, and others.
With 46 percent of precincts reporting, Trump has 47 percent of the vote, Ted Cruz 21 percent, Marco Rubio at 17 percent, and John Kasich 10 percent. (Note that Rubio dropped out last week, after losing his home state of Florida — but he had still received a sizable number of votes in this state where early balloting is widely practiced.)
Arizona is a winner-take-all primary for Republicans, so Trump will receive all 58 delegates — guaranteeing him an outright majority of the delegates up tonight, even if as widely expected he loses the Utah caucuses to Ted Cruz.
