'Don't lecture me': Ana Navarro unleashes on sexist Trump apologist after he demands she 'be nice' to the president

A CNN panel went off the rails when Republican commentator Steve Cortes tried to tell Ana Navarro that she wasn't allowed to attack the president but he could attack others.

After Navarro quickly bashed President Donald Trump as she has done countless times, Cortes told Navarro to "be nice." Mansplaining and chastising behavior isn't exactly to way to win friends with women who appear on the network, and it certainly wasn't for Cortes.

"Tell you what, when you tell the president to stop calling black athletes sons of bitches, when you tell the president to stop calling Maxine Waters and other Congresspeople dumb as rocks, when you start telling the president to stop insulting Don Lemon and Lebron James and people like me, then maybe, maybe, maybe I will listen to you. But until you do that, don't come here and lecture me on how I should talk when you got -- when you are a --"

Cortes tried to cut in and respond to Navarro's demand not to come on CNN to lecture her.

"I just did," he said like a school-yard bully.

"A follower and supporter of a guy who insults all sorts of Americans for no other reason than not agreeing with him."

Cortes tried to say that if he attacked former President Barack Obama the way Navarro did that people would be up in arms. Navarro argued that the problem Cortes has is that Obama never did anything illegal, never attacked women, never sexually assaulted anyone, nor did he ever stoop to name-calling of elected officials he disagreed with.

"It's revealing -- it's revealing of the obsession that you and many have where you are incapable of looking at the president and judging the president on true merit rather than just on your emotion," Cortes said using a gendered attack line.

"I judge him on the children at the border," Navarro said, not missing a beat. "I judge him on calling African countries sh*tholes. I judge him on calling athletes sons of bitches. I judge him on telling Nancy Pelosi to shut up. Him calling Lebron James, somebody who has done much. I judge him equating neo-Nazis to those protesting against them."

At that point CNN host Chris Cuomo paused the argument, saying that it is certainly a charged issue. Indeed, sexist attacks on a female panelist are charged. The same happened Tuesday when Republican Mike Shields tried to mansplain the Democratic Party to former Democratic Party staffer Kirsten Powers.

Navarro later tweeted, saying, "Look folks, all I was doing was (bleeping) quoting Individual 1."
