Duggar daughters roll the dice with Friday night Fox interview as TLC ponders spinoff's future

Part two of the Duggar family's exclusive interviews with Fox's Megyn Kelly will broadcast Friday evening, with two of the daughters who were molested by their brother defending him while admitting that what he did was wrong.

In a preview of the interview, Jessa Duggar Seewald explains, "I can speak out and I can say this and set the record straight here. Like in Josh’s case, he was a boy, a young boy in puberty and a little too curious about girls. And that got him into some trouble. And he made some bad choices, but really the extent of it was mild, inappropriate touching, on fully clothed victims, most of it while girls were sleeping”

Reviews for the first installment of the The Kelly File interview with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were not encouraging with TV Guide headlining:"The Duggars Interview Backfires and Proves Why They Really Don't Belong on TV."

The stakes are high for the Duggar clan -- with TLC putting their popular 19 Kids and Counting show on hold as advertisers flee and executives huddle -- who could see a substantial portion of their income evaporate if the show is cancelled.

In the case of the former Jessa and Jill Duggar -- two of the four Duggar girls who were groped by their brother Josh -- reaction to the interview could be a deciding factor as to whether TLC will go ahead and do a spin-off Duggar show featuring the two now-married daughters and their own growing families.

According to US Weekly, TLC appeared to be going forward with plans for a the new show as of a week ago.

"They've invested a lot of time in developing these story lines and the last thing they want to do is to throw it all away,” a source tells explained.

However, should the public react as poorly to the two young women defending their brother while eliminating themselves from the equation -- as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar did to them Wednesday night -- the appetite for another Duggar show may wane, advertisers may become scarce, and plans for the new show may get shelved for the two daughters expecting to reap the riches and fame of reality television that their parents did.
