A reporter on Saturday flagged what she said is "the biggest thing that went wrong" with the Trump administration's release of new Jeffrey Epstein files.
Fallon Gallagher, an award-winning legal affairs reporter for MS NOW, appeared on the network over the weekend. The host asked, "The DOJ rollout ofthese documents, it did not goas the law has required it togo. What went wrong? And whatdo you think we can expect tosee and when?"
According to the reporter, "The biggestthing that went wrong here isthat the DOJ was supposed torelease all of the Epsteinfiles by last night at 11:59.That has not happened."
"Theysignaled that that wasn't goingto happen on time. Soinherently, they're notfollowing the law," she added. "Now, whatwe've learned today is that oneof those photos, at least oneof those photos appears to bedeleted. There is a photo thatis no longer on DOJ's websitethat included a picture of adrawer with a number of framedphotos. One of the photosthat's in the drawer is thatfamous photo that we've seen anumber of times of Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Jeffrey Epsteinand Ghislaine Maxwell. Thatphoto has mysteriouslydisappeared. We do not know whythat photo has disappeared. Wehave asked the DOJ why it'sdisappeared. We do not know yet.So that has now gone away."
She further added, "Thebig thing about this entirerelease, though, is that therereally isn't that much new thatwe're learning. I would saythat this is more of acompilation rather than a fullrelease. Basically, they'vetaken public files that havebeen from court documents, FOIA requests, House oversight drops, and compiled it all in oneplace with a number of newfiles from this, this new law."
