Experts prove Meghan Markle is not a robot after conspiracy theory captivates the internet

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is not a robot, the fact-checking website Snopes reports.

A conspiracy theory had spread quickly online that the Duchess and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, were not human beings, but advanced robots.

Video purporting to demonstrate that the two newlyweds are androids has been viewed over a quarter million times on YouTube.

The video does make a fairly convincing visual case.

"This is some weird f*cking sh*t right here," the narrator, Lil Donatello says. "This is Prince Harry and his girl, her face does not move."

"That's some illuminati sh*t," he added.

The video may have made a convincing visual case that the royals were not human, because that was the reality of the video.

The Duke and Duchess featured in the video were actually artistic facsimile created by Madame Tussauds. The famous wax museum unveiled the "live figures" which they say is an "exciting innovation" meant "to feel as if they are really meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in person."

So yes, the video does show a robotic couple.
