Fake electors in Wisconsin have finally agreed that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, according to the Washington Post.
In a civil settlement Wednesday, 10 Republicans who signed paperwork falsely saying Trump had won Wisconsin revoked their challenge and promised not to commit any action like it again.
The settlement saw one Republican call the attempt to stop Biden a "possible steal" and he claimed he was going along with things because he was afraid of facing blowback from Trump's supporters.
“We oppose any attempt to undermine the public’s faith in the ultimate results of the 2020 presidential election,” the fake electors' settlement reads.
“We hereby withdraw the documents we executed on Dec. 14, 2020, and request that they be disregarded by the public and all entities to which they were submitted.”
Wisconsin is one of three states where fake electors could face criminal problems.

The lawsuit, filed in 2021 by legal electors, claimed that the fake electors attempted to defraud the state's voters. The civil suit demanded up to $200,000 from each elector. The settlement has no financial strings tied to it, however.
There are still lawsuits against two lawyers who helped the state's GOP conspire to overturn the election. They are accused of coordinating with Ken Chesebro, who has already pleaded guilty to charges in Georgia.
The fake electors also agreed that they would help with the federal investigations being conducted by special counsel Jack Smith and the Justice Department.
