Fans pound producer and rapper ‘Flying Lotus’ after he tells sexist Clinton joke at Oakland show

At a weekend performance in San Francisco, rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist Flying Lotus -- real name, Steven Ellison -- made a sexist joke about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, then tried to walk it back.

SFGate.com reported Sunday that Ellison was performing to a sold-out crowd at Oakland's Fox Theater on Friday night when he said that he doesn't care for Donald Trump, but doesn't know if he can vote for Clinton.

"I couldn't possibly vote for a woman who doesn't give an awesome blowjob," he said, referring to the scandal surrounding the nominee's husband, former Pres. Bill Clinton and his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

A beat later, he added, "I'm just kidding. I'm going to vote for her ass anyway."

However, many concert attendees were annoyed or offended.

A female audience member responded to a comment by Ellison that his crowd seemed to be majority male by saying this is not the route to winning over female fans.

The rapper responded to the controversy by posting a "Vote Hillary" tweet with an emoji conveying mixed emotions, then said he loves saying "depraved shit u need 2 hear."
