Former President George H.W. Bush taken to hospital in Maine for observation

According to a tweet from the spokesperson for George H. W. Bush, the former president has been taken to a local hospital in Maine after experiencing fatigue and low blood pressure.

On Twitter, Jim McGrath tweeted: "President @GeorgeHWBush was taken to Southern Maine Health Care (@SMHCHealth) today after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue. He will likely remain there for a few days for observation. The former president is awake and alert, and not in any discomfort..'

The 93-year-old former president has been in and out of hospitals in recent months and recently lost his wife, Barbara Bush, who passed away on April 17 in Houston after a period of failing health.
