Fox & Friends on Ryan's Obamacare repeal plan: 'That’s never going to fly'
March 12, 2013
It would seem that Rep. Paul Ryan hasn’t been reading the directives sent by Fox News don Roger Ailes. Although Ryan has continued to push hard for a complete repeal of Obamacare in recent weeks, even the Right’s central command is calling his effort a waste of time.
"Even though you might want it, the Supreme Court has spoken," said Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday. "That's never going to fly." Kilmeade’s sentiment that Paul should just move on was echoed by their well-known guest, Laura Ingraham.
“You’re exactly right,” responded Ingraham, who did give the Wisconsin representative a little leeway with regard to related strategies to destroy ObamaCare.
“The public is still against what Obamacare is doing to the health care system, and I think Paul Ryan sees that even in some Democrat states ... I think Ryan thinks he has some philosophical space to move in there.”
Not known to sugarcoat her opinions, Ingraham did, however, cheekily add that Ryan’s quixotic effort is a “very optimistic and generous way of looking at the monies that will be on the table and available to him.”
