Fox & Friends whines students were picking on the NRA during their 'political' walkout

The crew at "Fox & Friends" on Thursday were not happy about the tens of thousands of students across the United States who walked out of class to protest congressional inaction on curbing gun violence.

"Ultimately, it was a political event," said host Steve Doocy of Wednesday's student walkouts. "What they were trying to do was try to pressure Washington into more gun control."

The show then played clips of politicians such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) addressing the students who were gathered to protest in Washington, D.C.

Host Brian Kilmeade then accused Democrats of exploiting young people who are afraid of seeing their classmates shot to death to push for stricter gun laws.

"I think it's great that these kids are active," he said. "I think everybody is horrified that, over the last 20 years, it seems like every three months we're looking at another horrific shooting... however, in the big picture, logic tells you that it is security that should be part of this conversation, where most of these protests were all about taking aim, pun intended, at the NRA."

Doocy then chimed in to shame schools who helped organize students who didn't want to see their classmates shot by a killer armed with an AR-15.

"Ultimately, it was about gun control," he said. "And the schools organized it with the backers of this. It became a political event, a lot of people didn't realize this."

He then played a clip of Trump supporters Diamond and Silk attacking Democrats for "using" the students to push their agenda.
