Former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said on Wednesday that Fox News is guilty of elder abuse.
Kinzinger, who recently slammed his party for allowing ex-president Donald Trump to interfere with the potential bipartisan deal on the border and Ukraine, lashed out at the conservative network in what appears to be a response to its coverage of Taylor Swift conspiracy theories from the right.
"Could you imagine seething with outrage about Taylor Swift and so angry?" Kinzinger asked. "Good lord people, take a walk and chill. Fox News is killing your quality of life. You’re 70 years old. You have ten years left. Enjoy your family and life."
He then added:
"Let’s be honest, [Fox News] is elder abuse," he wrote on social media on Wednesday. "Con artist that plays on unfounded fears for money and eyeballs."

He continued:
"Now they fear Taylor Swift, and still fear Mickey Mouse. It’s a sick organization, and it creates WEAK WHINEY people."
In a follow-up post, the former right-wing lawmaker wrote, "Taylor and Travis could care less about you MAGA. This is what drives them nuts. Everyone is a victim."
