Fox News host Chris Wallace gets only western interview with Putin after summit with Trump: 'No subject off limits'

Fox News host Chris Wallace will interview Russian President Vladimir Putin after his summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Wallace on Thursday announced that he will be the only western journalist to interview the Russian president.

"We'll be there for the summit on Monday and immediately after the summit, I will have the first and only interview that the Russian president Vladimir Putin will give to a western journalist," Wallace told Fox News host Sandra Smith. "There will be a joint news conference after the summit. President Trump and president Putin answering a few reporters' questions but then we'll sit down for a half-hour interview, no holds barred, no subjects off limits."

Wallace added: "We'll get into the allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and ask him about potential meddling in the 2018 election and I want to talk about Vladimir Putin and what he wants for his country."
