During a Fox News late night look at accusations that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was aware of the sexual abuse of student-athletes at Ohio State University when he was an assistant wrestling coach there, a senior White House producer for the network suggested that there may be a case against the conservative Republican.
Speaking with host Ed Henry, producer Chad Pergram reviewed an earlier interview that Jordan did with host Bret Baier and said there seems to be evidence that something happened and that Jordan knew about it.
Noting that Jordan kept attacking early accuser Michael Disabato, claiming the ex-athlete has launched a “vendetta” against the university, Pergram said the accusations went well beyond Disabato.
“But here’s the problem: there are so many people involved in this who seem to be credible who’ve come forth who aren’t named Mike Disabato,” Pergram explained. “And that’s the problem for Jim Jordan. There’s about five to six people who are saying, ‘Wait a minute, Jim Jordan did know about this.’ There are people who know Jim Jordan, who like him, who say ‘Wait a minute. He needs to speak up.'”
