Fox News panel descends into screaming match after co-host accuses Trump of faking patriotism at Naval speech

Donald Trump's speech to the Naval Academy got rave reviews from most of the panelists on Fox's The Five.

But not from Juan Williams, who pointed out just how "self-serving" it was in a testy segment that featured plenty of yelling.

Host Kimberly Guilfoyle opened by praising the speech and asking Williams what he thought.

He did not beat around the bush, saying that Trump's speech was designed for political purposes and unfairly characterizing his enemies.

"This speech was about 'America first.' It was wrapped in patriotism, he wrapped himself in the flag," Williams said. "He wants them, and their stamp of approval and their high approval rating among the American people to transfer to him."

Host Jesse Watters then claimed that it's ridiculous to think that Trump would play politics with the military.

"You think he's giving a rousing patriotic speech because he wants to raise his approval ratings?" Watters said. "Maybe he's just proud of the cadets."

Williams was not having it.

"When he talks about 'we're going to make the military stronger and all that,'" Williams said. "Wait a minute, our military is the strongest in the world... when he suggests that somehow somebody didn't believe in them. Who didn't believe in the military? Obama? Bush?"

The conservative hosts then attacked Obama or, as Guilfoyle described him, "the Nobel Peace Prize guy."

They claimed the military was "not fully funded" under Obama.

"That's not true!" Williams yelled. "The other top 20 militaries in the world don't have as much funding as out military."
