GOP’s Matt Gaetz gets taken to the woodshed for lusting after AOC: ‘His unsolicited thirst is extremely weird’

Trump-loving Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has regularly made comments about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) appearance -- and one Florida columnist is calling him out for being a creep.

Writing in the Miami New Times, columnist Jerry Iannelli takes Gaetz to the woodshed for the multiple times he's made leering remarks about his congressional colleague from New York.

"[Gaetz] quotes include repeated statements that he finds her 'attractive,'" writes Iannelli. "He's called her 'adorable.' And in a reference to the dating app Tinder, he even creepily told TMZ this month that he'd 'swipe right' on the idea of working across the aisle with her... In a Daily Caller interview last Thursday in which he alternated between insulting her intelligence and complimenting her, Gaetz once again felt the need to comment on Ocasio-Cortez's looks. He referred to her as an 'attractive lady from Queens.'"

Iannelli then says Gaetz's obsession with Ocasio-Cortez is akin to stalker-like behavior.

"His unsolicited thirst is extremely weird," he writes. "In his repeated interviews about AOC, he condescendingly calls her ideas dumb and 'dangerous for the country.' He also says she is good-looking and begs her to work with him."
