Graphic anti-Obama sign depicting male anatomy has Ohio neighborhood a bit testy
August 17, 2014
A billboard stationed in a highly-trafficked Cleveland neighborhood has locals up in arms, less for its anti-Obama message and more the accompanying graphic depicting a giant set of testicles, reports WEWS.
The sign, located next to a church, calls for impeachment of President Barack Obama on one half of the sign, with "DOES ANYONE IN CONGRESS HAVE A SET OF THESE" printed over an image of the male anatomy.
According to the owner of the sign, Nancy Sysack, "Sometimes you've got to put things out there in order to make a point and get people to turn their heads."
Systak added, "There's more graphic stuff in the art museum."
Controversial signs are nothing new to Systak's company, with the businesses' graphic designer stating that she didn't agree with a previous sign mounted on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday depicting the civil rights leader hugging Osama bin Laden.
According to the designer, someone else, who was not a fan of the billboard, set it on fire.
With a school and public library located close by, some residents have expressed their displeasure with the billboard, calling it, "totally inappropriate," and "disgusting."
Owner Systak dismissed concerns, saying, "It's nice to have the 1st Amendment to speak our mind."
