'I hate this country without him in it': Meghan McCain says she sees signs of 'the end of the world' after her father died

On Saturday, CNN host Van Jones had Meghan McCain, co-host of The View, on his show.

Jones and McCain discussed the recent deaths of their parents, which McCain said makes her "sad every single day."

"I hate this country without him in it," said McCain. "I know that sounds awful. I don't hate America but I hate it without his leadership."

McCain said that she is not a "Never Trumper," but that, nevertheless, she doesn't call herself a Republican anymore.

"I call myself conservative. I'm still a member of the Republican Party, and I still vote on the Republican ticket," she said. "Republicanism is so tied up with being for Trump. Trump didn't melt my brain. I can still see the forest for the trees."

McCain says that people in Arizona support the wall, and she can understand why.

"I understand why Trump supporters voted for him. I understand why people think he's tearing the country apart," she said.

She also talked about the apocalypse at several points during the interview and said she sees signs of it.

"There was a blood red moon a few days ago which is apparently a sign of the end of the world," she said. "Which I was like, 'Seems about right.'"
