‘He lies as often as he breathes’: Seth Meyers slams ‘colicky man-baby’ Trump’s weekend Twitter tantrum

The President of the United States last weekend reverted to vintage Donald Trump: ranting about his election victory at a rally in Florida, demanding a journalist’s resignation on Twitter, and spending hours watching TV while telling the New York Times he definitely doesn’t have time to watch TV (primarily because of the documents, remember?).

NBC’s Seth Meyers on Monday was unimpressed with Trump’s antics, telling the president to “get over” his electoral college win. The “Late Night” host joked Trump is “like a guy who threw one touchdown in high school and tells the story to everybody who comes into his bar.”

“He’s the Buddy Garrity of American politics!” Meyers said.

The host later brought up Trump’s attacks on Washington Post reporter David Weigel, who the president demanded be fired after he tweeted—and apologized for—a tweet inaccurately portraying Trump’s rally crowd size. “Our colicky man-baby president wouldn’t shut up about it," Meyers explained.

“I’m not sure getting fired for false tweets is really a precedent you of all people want to set,” Meyers quipped.

“Trump lies as often as he breathes,” he added.
