Police in California arrested four members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club over the weekend after they were caught leaving a holiday toy drive with illegal weapons and drugs.
According to a statement from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, about a dozen men wearing Hells Angels patches were leaving the Christmas Toy Drive event at the Deer Lodge in Meiners Oaks when they were stopped by deputies for "traffic violations."
Deputies recovered "two concealed loaded firearms, methamphetamine, and a weapon described as 'brass knuckles'" during the investigation, the statement said.
Noah Tedesco, 30, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm, and for being prohibited from possessing a firearm. John Saucedo, 29, was taken into custody for suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm. Thomas Holt, 44, was charged with possessing brass knuckles. And 40-year-old Stefan Amann was arrested for driving under the influence.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives considers the Hells Angels to be an "outlaw motorcycle club."
Earlier this month, Fresno County Hells Angels spokesperson Merle Hefferman said in a statement that the group's annual toy drive was "part of an ongoing effort to meet the needs of the community during the holiday season."
