High school teacher on leave after video shows him threatening to snap student's neck

A California teacher has been placed on paid leave after a video was circulated showing him threatening a student, KSBY reports.
David Kelley, a Morro Bay High School history teacher, was investigated by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, which found that the incident did not rise to the level of a crime.
Video of the incident shows Kelly and what look to be other school staff trying to break up a confrontation between two students. At one point, Kelley tells a female student, "Snap your neck is what I would do. Threaten my child again."
Kelly has reportedly been investigated for making insensitive comments to students before. He was previously a football coach at Morro Bay High School but was let go in 2018 after allegedly made comments that were "insensitive to the LGBTQ community."
