Invited onto CNN to talk about the war between Israel and Hamas, Rep. Michael Turner (R-OH) was confronted by "State of the Union" host Jake Tapper to answer for the chaos engulfing House Republicans who can't get their act together and select a new speaker after booting Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
With Tapper prefacing his question with, "I hope you don't take this personally," Tapper continued, "Do you guys have any idea how clownish you look?”
Appearing nonplussed, Turner first grimly admitted, "I’m very fond of saying that Congress is a lot like high school, but even more so."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"Hopefully we’ll get past this," he offered, "And, you know, I certainly have been part of the governing majority, and I’m going to stay part of that and look forward to those who are on the fringes, hopefully coming together so that we can get as speaker.”
