Republican National Committee head Reince Priebus dismissed concerns Sunday morning that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump may make him the scapegoat should the blustery billionaire lose the election on Tuesday.
After Priebus gave a somewhat upbeat appraisal of Trump's prospects in the upcoming election, Face The Nation host John Dickerson looked past Tuesday's election at the potential fallout should Trump not defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Taking note of the RNC's often strained relationship with the new face of the party, the CBS host prodded Preibus about a post-Trump future.
"There have been times in this race when Donald Trump has called out the establishment," Dickeson said as Priebus interrupted, saying "We've had our own arguments."
"Do you worry if things don't turn out his way on Tuesday, after all of the work you have done with him, that he might turn around and blame you?" Dickerson asked.
"Listen, it's politics. I don't really care," Priebus replied. "What I care about is winning. I care about keeping the House and the Senate and winning the White House. And post-Tuesday, you know, I'm not worried about that."
