Morning Mika utters F-bomb as she loses it on 'blatant liars' defending ICE
During a segment on the violent actions of ICE agents in Minnesota, and officials at the Department of Homeland Security who keep being caught lying about the ruthless snatching of U.S. citizens off the street, MS NOW’s Mika Brzezinski had enough — and went on an extended rant.
After showing a clip of an ICE official blowing off concerns about their presence in the city of Minneapolis, the “Morning Joe” co-host blew up and used profanity to call out the DHS for "blatant lies" to the public after continuously breaking the law.
Noting that lawyers representing the victims are being blocked from seeing the detainees, with ICE agents repeatedly stating, “We don't do attorney visitations,” she pointed out, “In response, DHS has denied any wrongdoing, saying detainees have access to phones and attorney lists.”
“I'm wondering at this point, what is the legal consequence, what is the legal recourse?” she asked. “What are the avenues for these people who, again, I use the word disappeared for some of them because they're put in a detention center and they don't have their cell phones and they don't have their medicine and they don't have what they need to survive, and their families are left without income and they can't connect because they're not given a number.”
With conservative New York Times columnist David French contributing, “What's compounding it all is just a pattern of lying from this administration to the point where you just have to discount almost everything that they say immediately,” Brzezinski turned to the ICE agent who shot 37-year-old Minnesota mother Renee Nicole Good, who is not under investigation by the DOJ.
“The tip of this is Renee Good and the government saying one thing and everybody who sees the video seeing another thing and blatant lies about what happened, about who she was, about who her wife is, about what happened when an ICE agent shot her in the face and then called her a ‘f—-ing b’ when moments before she said, ‘I'm not mad at you’ and was trying to get away.”
“We all see it,” she continued. “You can be a podcaster and say she had it coming on the far right, but you're wrong. Nobody has being shot in the face coming when they say they're not mad and they're trying to get out of the way and the officer breaks law enforcement procedure 10 times over, walking in front of the vehicle twice, staying in front of the vehicle, shooting at her.”
“Everybody who watches it, who has half a brain and education, logic, saw what they saw, know what happened and yet this administration defames her and has their own story and does not believe an investigation is necessary,” she added.
