'I'll show you embarrassed': Teacher allegedly orders students to drag shy girl to front of class

A substitute teacher in Quincy, Washington is under investigation after he was accused of directing students in his class to drag an 11-year-old girl who was too embarrassed to speak in public.

Mother Olga Montano told iFIBER One News that substitute teacher Ken Lacey had asked her daughter to go in front of the class on Dec. 12.

"She refused to go up because she told him that she was embarrassed," Montano explained. "And he responded to her, 'I'll show you what's embarrassed.'"

"So, he asked four kids to grab her and drag her to the front of the class, and so they did."

"While she was being dragged, more kids joined in," the mother added, choking up. "And she was being slapped, kicked, punched in the face."

Montano said that the elementary school principal showed her classroom video of the incident on Monday, and she observed that "more than four kids" participated in the attack.

City officials refused a public records request to release the video to the media, saying that it was part of a Quincy Police Department investigation.

According to Quincy School District Superintendent John Boyd, the substitute teacher was allowed to resign on Monday.
