A vehicle crashed into an after-school activity center in Chatham, Illinois, leaving multiple deaths and injuries, NBC News reported on Monday evening.
Four people were killed, ranging from 4 to 18 years old, per the report.
"The victims included three people who were outside the building and one who was inside, Illinois State Police said in a statement. Several others were injured, officials said, including a person who was taken to a hospital by helicopter."

Police have not disclosed whether they believe the disaster to be an accident or intentional.
The crash happened at 3:20 pm, when "a vehicle drove into the east side of a building used by the YNOT After School Camp," hitting several people before crashing out of the west side of the building. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, survived with injuries and was taken to the hospital.
