Trump rally in Iowa met with protests as some Trump voters express doubt

At a packed but compact Donald Trump rally in Iowa on the same day he was holding a campaign event in a small auditorium, MS NOW reporter Vaughan Hillyard found some Trump voters openly expressing second thoughts about the former president’s leadership — driven in large part by outrage over the killing of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti by federal immigration agents during Operation Metro Surge in neighboring Minnesota. Hillyard described sizable protests outside the venue calling attention to the Minneapolis shooting and related deportation raids, and shared interviews with event attendees who said the aggressive federal response — including multiple shootings that have sparked nationwide condemnation — made them uncomfortable with Trump’s approach.
