At the close of the 2018 Grammy Awards, rapper Logic performed his powerful tribute to singer-songwriter Chester Bennington broadcasting the national suicide hotline. Ironically, however, it was his message of inclusion, peace and hope that got him bleeped by the CBS censors.
“To all the beautiful countries filled with culture, diversity and thousands of years of history, you are not sh*tholes!” he exclaimed.
But to most Americans, all they heard was silence. It sent the internet up in arms, furious that the President of the United States was able to say it, prompting a week full of news reports using the term, yet a man saying "you're not sh*tholes" was censored.
