'It's going to be Hillary Clinton in 2016': former PA gov

The 2012 election may not have been decided yet, but one man already knows who his 2016 candidate will be.

"It's going to be Hillary Clinton in 2016," former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell told the New York Post.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is already rumored as a candidate, but Rendell, who supported Clinton over Obama in 2008, has a place in mind for him as well: "Andrew and everybody else will be running for vice president," he said.

Last December, Clinton stamped out rumors that she would like to replace Vice President Joe Biden on the 2012 ticket by saying that secretary of state would be "my last public position," but Rendell seemed convinced that she would reconsider. He said she may take a break and teach or rest before running in 2016.

"I think the possibility of being president and being the first woman president in history would probably be too much for her to resist,” he told Politico's Reid Epstein.

Rendell told Politico that he and other Clinton supporters have been pestering her to run in the future, and that they refer to themselves as the "Last of the Mohicans."

“Her life is public service, that’s all she cares about, and I don't think she’s ready to retire," he said.
