James Carville pushes shocking theory of how Trump will save himself

Legendary veteran Democratic strategist James Carville offered a chilling prediction for what President Donald Trump will do to get out of trouble after losing in November.

Speaking to The Daily Beast podcast, Carville confidently predicted that Trump and the GOP are in for a drubbing in November — and that it functionally spells the end of his presidency.

“He’s going to lose so decisively in November. His power is going to just seep right out. No one’s going to even care,” Carville told host Joanna Coles. “People really don’t care what he says anymore.”

For that reason, said Carville, Trump could very well just decide to end his presidency early, something he has already predicted in recent weeks — but resort to one last dirty trick on his way out the door.

“It’s easy," said Carville. "He calls in JD Vance, and he says, ‘JD, I’ve decided I’m going to resign, I’m going to go back. You’re going to be the president, but your first act, that I have right here, as soon as you’re sworn in, you’re going to sign a pardon—pardon me for everything imaginable.’”

A similar maneuver famously took place in 1974, with then-President Richard Nixon resigning to avoid impeachment for the Watergate scandal, and newly sworn-in President Gerald Ford issuing him a pardon that remains controversial to this day.
