Comer and Jordan duck reporters' questions during Hunter Biden hearing break

Reps. James Comer (R-KY) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) are not known for being camera shy, but they apparently had little to say at the halfway point of what was supposed to have been the crowning moment of their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
According to Punchbowl News' Max Cohen, "Comer and Jordan wouldn’t respond to questions on how the deposition was going" as they took a lunch break from the Hunter Biden hearing, which had by that point been going on for more than two hours.
In contrast to the two Republicans leading the investigation, House Democrats were more than willing to chat with reporters about the hearing.
Cohen relays that Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), for instance, revealed to reporters that Hunter Biden didn't invoke his Fifth Amendment rights at any point during the hearing.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), meanwhile, said that Biden often turned the table on his questioners and asked why they showed no interest in what he said was obvious potential corruption inside former President Donald Trump's family.
“They're asking lots of questions on Hunter’s business," said Moskowitz. "He posed this question, ‘How come they're not curious about the $2 billion Jared Kushner got from the Saudis?’”
The impeachment inquiry into Biden was dealt a massive blow earlier this month when one of its star witnesses, longtime FBI informant Alexander Smirnov, was charged with lying to investigators about alleged multimillion-dollar bribes that President Joe Biden supposedly received from Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.
While the Republican inquiry has turned up some unseemly details about Hunter Biden's professional and personal lives, it has yet to find a direct link between his business dealings and his father.
The House impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden has been criticized for its lack of evidence for the GOP's allegations that the president laundered bribes through his son Hunter's international business deals.
