A MAGA attorney and fierce ally of Donald Trump lashed out at federal judges in Washington, D.C. on Thursday following scathing remarks from a judge, who spoke out against pardons for Jan. 6 rioters.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson became the latest federal judge to give Trump a slap on the wrist, Politico reporter Kyle Cheney noted on Thursday.
Jackson said in her ruling that dismissing charges without prejudice would "dishonor" the hundreds of law enforcement officers who risked their lives against "impossible odds" to protect the Capitol and the people who "huddled inside in terror as windows and doors were shattered." Those officers, she wrote, did so to protect democracy and the peaceful transfer of power.
It would also dishonor the "valiant officers" who followed through on their oaths to defend the Constitution.

"They are the patriots. Patriotism is loyalty to country and loyalty to Constitution — not loyalty to a single head of state," she wrote, a clear rebuke of Trump, who has called the rioters "patriots."
"No stroke of a pen and no proclamation can alter the facts of what took place on January 6, 2021," Jackson said.
Prominent conservative attorney Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project who previously served as chief counsel for nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, bemoaned Jackson's comments on X.
"This nonsense is why the American people should have little faith in the DC federal courts. Bitter, unhinged, leftwing radicals--appointed by Obama and Biden--dominate them. And DC Republican judges, with few exceptions, are cowards. Congress must perform oversight. Now," he demanded.
Davis in recent weeks has outwardly threatened perceived foes of Trump, including Judge Juan Merchan — the judge who oversaw Trump's hush money case — and the prosecutors who brought charges against the MAGA leader.
