Mack Schroeder, a fired budget analyst from the Department of Health and Human Services, faced off against Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) last week as the lawmaker fled into an elevator. This week, he returned to Banks' office with friends.
Schroeder confronted Banks about the federal cuts, but Banks said he didn't care because Schroeder seemed like a "clown" to him.
On Tuesday, Schroeder went to Banks' office to reinforce the point that it isn't about him, but rather about other Americans who won't get the services they need.
Schroeder said that while he didn't want to make the incident about him, he was "really surprised" and "mostly upset" by Banks's response.

"The reason I went to his office today with other federal workers, [is] to show him that it's not just me," he said. "It's many of us, other civil servants, who are providing life-saving programs for his constituents in Indiana. And I want to see if he's also willing to call them clowns and say they deserve to get fired once his constituents don't have any of the services that they're entitled to and are paying taxes for."
