Jim Jordan never sat for the bar exam — but wants to run the House Judiciary Committee

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is widely known as a former wrestling coach from the sexual abuse era at Ohio State University.

But the Trump-loving congressman, who is seldom seen wearing a suit coat, has his eyes on attaining more power within the Republican Party.

Jordan told CNN's Manu Raju that there is "zero possibility" he will challenge House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for the top spot if Republicans win back the House of Representatives in 2022, because he has a different goal.

"I'm focused on winning back the majority. And hopefully, Lord willing, being chairman of the Judiciary Committee," Jordan said.

In 2001, Jordan obtained a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in Columbus, but he never took the Bar exam test required to become a practicing attorney.
