CNN host Poppy Harlow appeared visibly disturbed on Friday after listening to a voicemail that a supporter of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) left for the wife of a Republican lawmaker who blocked his bid for the speakership.
During a segment on Jordan's struggles to become speaker, CNN played a voicemail received by the wife of one Republican in which she was informed she'd be "molested" unless her husband relented.
"You're going to keep getting emails and calls, I'm putting all your information over the internet now, everybody else is, and you will not be left alone because of your f--king husband," the person said. "You're going to be f--king molested like you can't ever imagine."
The man then added afterward, "...and again, nonviolently."

CNN reporter Lauren Fox then commented that threats like this are becoming commonplace for Republican lawmakers who have opposed Jordan.
"Just listening to the vitriol in that message, members are getting calls, their staff are getting calls," she said. "And I think one thing to keep in mind here, I talked to Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), he said that he had talked to his wife and she had gotten a series of terrible calls the night before last and he said he called her in the morning to check in on her, and she said that she had slept okay because she had a loaded gun. I mean, that tells you just how worried, how concerned members of congress are."
"It is beyond comprehension," remarked Harlow.
