Jon Stewart's diagnosis of Obamacare's online ills: 'How are Democrats gonna spin this turd?'

Daily Show host Jon Stewart took aim at President Barack Obama and the Democrats on Monday over the continued mishaps surrounding online enrollment for the Affordable Care Act.

"The whole point of websites is to design them so that it is nearly impossible to not sign up for something," Stewart argued, explaining that he can't visit the shopping website Amazon.com without risking buying something like six seasons of Night Court on DVD while trying to get out, before asking, "How are Democrats gonna spin this turd?"

Despite reassurances by the likes of Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that the "glitches" plaguing the Obamacare sign-up process are a sign of high demand, Stewart was surprised to learn that even the most basic components of the site are screwing up.

"The f*cking calculator doesn't work?" an incredulous Stewart asked. "The one thing that's been included in computers since 1972? You couldn't make that work?"

Stewart also made fun of Obama's on Monday defending the site while repeatedly describing health care as a "product."

"When did the president of the United States turn into Gil from The Simpsons?" Stewart asked while face-palming.

But it was more of a worry for Stewart to hear Obama use the term "tech surge" to describe the reported influx of IT pros called in to help remedy the website's issues.

"A surge?" Stewart demanded. "Your website is so f*cked we have to use the same strategy we used to salvage the Iraq war?"
