Judge attacked by Roger Stone threatens to level additional punishments against him

Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Tuesday issued a scathing rebuke to Trump ally Roger Stone, who on Monday attacked her as part of a "deep state" conspiracy against President Donald Trump.

After Stone and his attorneys issued a formal apology to Jackson late on Monday night, Jackson responded Tuesday by ordering Stone to appear at a hearing in which he must explain why she shouldn't modify or revoke the terms of his release that have so far kept him out of jail.

In a post on Instagram, Stone attacked Judge Jackson as a partisan Obama appointee and falsely accused her of dismissing nonexistent criminal charges against Hillary Clinton over the Benghazi scandal.

After receiving massive backlash for the post, Stone removed it and filed an apology with the court in the hopes of getting leniency from the judge. However, Jackson's Tuesday morning order indicates that Stone could still face serious legal consequences for his actions, including either incarceration or house arrest.

According to ABC News' Ali Dukakis, Stone has said that he will appear at the hearing as ordered.
