Kellyanne Conway refuses to talk about Russian collusion because it was Obama's fault for not stopping hacks

Appearing on ABC's "This Week," Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway ducked questions about possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign during the 2016 election by attacking the Obama administration for not stopping reported Russian hacking.

Pressed by host George Stephanopoulos as to why President Donald Trump hasn't asked the intelligence agency heads about taping in the Oval Office, Conway ranted instead about about leaks.

"First of all, we have evidence that there are leaks, George," Conway asserted. "They go right to the media. Jim Comey wanted to leak a confidential conversation or three with the president and he gave to it a private citizen to leak to the New York Times."

"That's different," the ABC hostsaid as Conway attempted to talk over him."Has the president asked the intelligence agencies if they have any tapes of his conversations? Does he know if they have it? Does he have any evidence to back up the suggestions he put out in his tweets?"

That set Conway off.

"I'm not going to comment on the leaks," she exclaimed. "What are we talking about here with the never-ending Russia discussion. Now because they couldn't find collusion. Now because it's the Obama administration responsible for doing absolutely nothing from August to January with the knowledge that Russia was hacking into our election."

"They did nothing. They're responsible for this," she continued with her voice rising. "Nobody has any evidence of conclusion. Why did the Obama administration quote 'choke' in the words of one of their senior officials? Why did you do nothing to inform the Trump camp? I know you thought Hillary would win. How could you not reveal information? When the president found out about it in January, he said it was a disgrace. He thinks other people hacked too. I think the previous administration has questions to answer given this Russian obsession by everyone."
