A decision by GOP vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance to heap praise on Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) for the "good work he is doing" unleashed a flood of vitriol from MAGA supporters who have still not gotten over the Georgia Republican's refusal to find more votes for Donald Trump in his 2020 re-election bid.
On Monday, Vance posted on X a picture of himself with Kemp and wrote, "Governor Brian Kemp has done a good job for the people of Georgia. I'm grateful he's supporting President Trump in this race and fighting to bring some common sense back to the federal government."
While Trump and Vance may have forgiven Kemp for his actions in 2020, the former president's fans still bear a grudge against the man many labeled a "Republican In Name Only," or "RINO," with one MAGA supporter accusing the GOP lawmaker of being a "traitor."

In the responses to Vance's post, conservative writer Jeff Carlson wrote, "I understand you have to say this publicly but Kemp is a RINO and needs to be removed asap."
Another disgruntled Trump fan wrote, "Sorry @JDVance if he doesn't use his weight to strengthen those voting stations then he is worthless to all of us! Period!"
"Gotta stay on him. He’s a snake in the grass," Bob Starr accused.
Trump supporter Spiritualist Tam was unconvinced and asked, "Seriously? A Governor who won’t have election results for 3 days? Come on JD…he is not right."
"He's a traitor but we know you have to say nice things right now," Travis Nielsen wrote.
According to conservative Sonny Jones, Kemp is part of a conspiracy to ensure Vice President Kamala Harris wins.
"They’re saying 25% of their voters are overseas and we won’t get the results for days after? Doesn’t that sound familiar? He’s trying to get Harris elected!" he accused.
