Lawyer guilty in Fulton County asks to travel to meet counsel in other fake elector probes

Ken Chesebro, the pro-Trump lawyer who has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of conspiring to commit filing false documents in regards to the Georgia racketeering case against Donald Trump and his co-defendants, has asked a judge to loosen his probation restrictions so he can travel to visit attorneys, Law&Crime reported.

In a brief filed to Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee, Chesebro said he needs to travel to Nevada, Arizona and the District of Columbia to “meet with counsel, etc.” since “there are investigations of the ‘election fraud’ cases ongoing.”

“Mr. Chesebro’s probation officer has asked for us to obtain an order to authorize this travel,” the brief read.

As Law&Crime points out, investigations into the pro-Trump "alternative electors scheme" have ramped up in Nevada and Arizona.

"The Chesebro memo to overturn the election outcome was featured prominently in the Jan. 6 Committee’s final report, which highlighted the lawyer’s communications to propel the fake elector scheme forward in Nevada, Arizona, and elsewhere," Law&Crime's report stated.
