Celebrity influencer Kim Kardashian visited the White House in 2018 to seek then-President Donald Trump's help with her sentencing reform campaign for non-violent offenders. She approached Trump again in 2020 to advocate for criminal justice reform — but found her welcome had significantly soured, Insider reported.
According to a new book by ABC News' Jonathan Karl, Kardashian called Trump months after he left the White House to get his endorsement for a clemency plea, only to have Trump angrily accuse her of voting for Joe Biden.
"Hell no!" Trump yelled at Kardashian, according to Karl's book "Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party."
"You voted for Biden and now you come asking me for a favor?" Trump reportedly said.
"After a few more choice words, the line went dead. Trump had hung up on her," Karl writes.

Karl writes that Trump initially told Kardashian he would give her his help if she could convince several football players she knew to visit the White House.
"Kardashian actually tried to do what Trump demanded, seeing it as a small price to pay to get justice for people she believed were serving unjust sentences," Karl writes.
"But all the players she approached declined. Trump had become too toxic. In the final two weeks of his presidency, nobody wanted to be anywhere near him."
