Colorado's firebrand Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert doubled down Tuesday on her controversial comments about Rep. Al Green (D-TX) during an interview with Real America's Voice News.
Last week, Boebert slammed Green's actions during President Donald Trump's address to Congress.
"Al Green was given multiple opportunities to stand down, to sit down, to behave, to show decorum. And he did not."
"For him to go and shake his pimp cane at President Trump was absolutely abhorrent," Boebert raged.
The remarks sparked fierce backlash, with critics accusing the congresswoman of making racist and derogatory comments, particularly over her use of the term "pimp cane" to describe the walking cane of Green, a 77-year-old Black congressman.
Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) on Monday introduced a resolution to censure Boebert over what Houlahan called "disparaging and derogatory remarks" about Green.

“After my discussion on the House floor last week when Speaker Johnson told me he’d have to censure half the members if he actually enforced the rules of the Congress, I decided to help, and tonight introduced a resolution to censure Representative Boebert for her racist and derogatory statements about Representative Al Green (D-TX),” Houlahan said in a statement.
But Boebert was undeterred.
Speaking on Real America's Voice Tuesday night, Boebert said, "I stand by it" — and then questioned whether Green actually uses his cane for mobility.
"I have never actually seen Al Green use his cane as a support to walk. I have seen him shake it for years all throughout the Capitol during any meeting that I've ever been present with him in."
Boebert added: "If that gold-plated cane isn't a pimp cane, I don't know what is."
The congresswoman, fresh off her election in November after changing districts, floated that "Houli-who" may actually be the "racist here."
"Are only Blacks pimps? Is that what I'm hearing? Are there no cisgender white pimps in America?"
