According to a former Lauren Boebert associate, one of the contributing factors to her running for office in a neighboring district was the loss of friends and volunteers from her previous campaigns who felt they had been used by the Colorado Republican after she took her seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
As part of a deep dive into the controversial GOP lawmaker's upbringing in Colorado, the Washington Post's Ben Terris spoke to a former Boebert volunteer who pointed to a social media moment that put off both friends and supporters alike.

With Terris writing that close Boebert associates began suffering "drama fatigue," former volunteer Savannah Wolfson admitted she no longer lives in the lawmaker's district and that she was unhappy to see what the lawmaker became when she took her act on the road to Washington, D.C.
"Wolfson said that last year she and some of her friends had noticed Boebert had been posting 'weird' pictures on Facebook that looked like she was 'constantly at frat parties.' One of her friends decided to text Boebert with a warning: I don’t know if this is the road you want to go down, Wolfson said paraphrasing the text," Terris reported.

"She just responded with a kissy face emoji,” Wolfson lamented before adding she felt the GOP lawmaker was saying, "bye b**ch" to her fans.
“She has a bad reputation with her volunteers at this point,” Wolfson explained. “She just kind of uses you and then leaves.”
