Letterman: Yoder's naked swim puts the 'junk' in congressional junket
August 21, 2012
On Monday's edition of The Late Show, host David Letterman trained his Top 10 list on the Kansas Congressman who was revealed to have taken a naked dip in the Sea of Galilee last year.
Though Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) has already taken to the press to explain his actions - "I had wine at dinner, but alcohol was not a factor in the decision to jump in," he has said - Letterman offered up some additional explanations for him, like, "What's the big deal? I was naked the whole trip"; "putting the 'junk' in congressional junket," and "It's Obama's fault," among others, including a jab at Rep. Barney Frank's (D-MA) sartorial choices.
According to The Kansas City Star, Yoder's jaunt occurred during a fact-finding trip paid for by the American Israel Education Foundation. Out of about 20 lawmakers and staff members who swam in the sea that night, Yoder was the only one found to have done so nude.
Letterman's Top 10, aired Monday, can be seen below.
