‘I literally almost vomited’: Bistro closing down after Jew-bashing owner disgusts community with pro-Hitler rant

A cafe owner's business is struggling after a virulently anti-Semitic post appeared on his Facebook wall, reports KRQE.

"Why is it so often that a Jew is behind the suffering of others?" the post reads.

Initially, the New Mexico business owner claimed his social media account was hacked. But he came clean on Monday.

“Yes, I did write it,” Palombo told a Santa Fe New Mexico paper Monday in a telephone interview. “That was in a moment of anger.”

"Palombo abandoned his claim that unknown enemies had hacked his account and framed him," writes Milan Simonich.

"There was no conspiracy, only a 51-year-old businessman with a warped view of history and the recklessness to share it with the world," he continues.

Members of the community were appalled by the post.

"I literally almost vomited and puked. I got sick to my stomach," Saul Hoffman told KRQE. "One of the sentences in the post that he posted was that it was my grandparents' fault that they were slaughtered and that there should be no sorrow or remorse for them."

"I'm pretty troubled by the fact that someone would actually put such thoughts on social media," a woman told the station.

The owner of the vegan cafe says he was a part of the Occupy movement. He at first insisted that whoever hacked him must have done their research, because the post also blamed Jews for the Wall Street greed that spawned Occupy.

Palombo apologized and announced the cafe was shutting down.

"My deepest apology for the hateful post that has been shared to hundreds maybe thousands, the news radio and many social media platforms," he wrote.

"It is not who I am or who we are or who we've been at V Roast Bistro. This has been one of the most painful and embarrassing moments of my life."

"The result of course is ASAP my resigning from my service to the community and the closing of V Roast Bistro. It has been a true pleasure to serve great food and coffee this past 5 years. Again my deepest apologies and hope someday that i'm forgiven and most of all I forgive myself," he continued.

"God bless us all as we face trying times politically and racially and that we don't become more divided than we already are.-Michael CEO and owner (sic)"
