Maddow calls out networks for booking mostly former Bush officials after bin Laden killing

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow noticed that nine former Bush officials and Republicans were booked on the Sunday morning news shows to talk about the death of Osama bin Laden, while only three Democrats appeared.

"It has got to drive Democrats and the White House absolutely nuts," Maddow said.

Republican Sen. Dick Lugar, Republican former presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, Republican former congressman Tom Davis, Bush administration CIA director Michael Hayden, Bush administration Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Bush administration Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, Bush administration Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Bush administration Vice President Dick Cheney, and Liz Cheney, the daughter of the Bush administration's vice president all appeared on Sunday morning news shows this week.

Obama administration National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, former Obama administration White House Communications Director Anita Dunn and Democratic Sen. John Kerry were the only Democrats to appear.
