Maddow: Forget Colorado -- Trump should complain about only getting 1 delegate in Indiana

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow predicted on Friday that Donald Trump would not score the win in the Republican Party's Indiana primary next month -- and that that should concern him.

"If he really wants to complain about a system appearing to be rigged against him, the state to start with is Indiana," she said.

Even though the primary is scheduled to be held on May 3, Maddow explained, the state GOP has already selected its delegates. And despite leading in the polls overall, Trump has received the backing of just one out of 57 delegates thus far.

Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reporter Niki Kelly told Maddow that most of the delegates are longtime "party insiders" who have been delegates before. The various Republican presidential campaigns, Kelly said, have only recently begun setting up offices in the state.

Trump accused the Republican National Committee of implementing a "rigged system" in Colorado after losing out on the delegates there against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and faces the loss of more delegates in Wyoming and Georgia, which Maddow attributed to poor organization on the part of the front-runner's campaign.

"That kind of thing is one reason why Donald Trump may be losing the Republican presidential nomination, despite this huge lead he's got in the polls and all the wins he's racked up in so many states," Maddow argued. "He's getting things snuck out from under him."
